May 22nd – 26th we celebrated Grandparents Week We want to thank all the Grandparents and parents who attended Grandparents week. The children had a wonderful time having afternoon tea and showing everyone all the amazing things that they do at Poppins Bush School. Some of our children helped make Cupcakes and Damper for their Grandparents afternoon tea. This month we will be having the Fire Department come to our centre to do a fire safety talk with the children in Prep, Preschool 1 and Preschool 2 then they will be looking at the fire truck. Our Nursery and Juniors Preschool rooms will get to meet the Emergency Fire Personnel and look at the truck🚒.
Our New and Improved Mud Kitchen Space
Miss Mary and her team of handy helpers have spent the last few weeks upgrading this much-loved space to further extend on the children’s interests as well as create more spaces to facilitate social interactions with both the children and educators. The children spent their time exploring the race car track experimenting with how the cars speed changes, depending on the elevation and angle of the road and how the cars travelled along the different textures of the road. Also investigated the new dinosaur rock area, farmyard, excavation quarries & friendship circles.
